Los Angeles is a very large city, so the more time you have, the more you can explore. Most visitors spend 3–4 days seeing major highlights like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Downtown LA.

If you only have one full day (about 6–7 hours), you can still visit a few iconic areas such as Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Venice Beach, but expect some driving since LA is spread out.

If you’re short on time, taking a guided tour is one of the best ways to see the most in a single day, since transportation and planning are already taken care of.

For a more budget-friendly adventure, the Los Angeles Zoo is a fantastic option. Its surprisingly large and winding layout means plenty of walking, so expect a great workout while exploring. The zoo grounds are beautiful, with scenic views and lots of animals to discover, making it a wonderful place for families to spend the day.
